1. Business Guide
   The Business Guide is a Nidus Center program designed to specifically identify for companies their critical success factors and long and short-term strategic action plans required to succeed. Based on specific information from the due diligence process, Nidus Center clients gain a framework to guide the growth and development of their business at the beginning of their tenure with Nidus Center.
   
2. Business Plan Development
   A credible business plan has been proven to be a major factor in the success of small start-up companies. Nidus Center staff assists clients in developing a professional and believable plan for the purpose of raising capital and guiding the company.
   
3. Coaching
   One of the key factors towards enabling entrepreneurial success are regular meetings with Nidus Center's president/CEO or COO to review current business status and address issues before they become a detriment to business success. Ultimately, coaching allows clients to creatively develop proactive methods for solving problems and increasing business success.
   
4. Management Expansion and Enhancement
   The Nidus Center staff, Board of Directors and Advisory Council use their established relationships within the business and technical community to locate appropriate executives that are the right match for client companies to expand and enhance their existing business management team. Staff is also available to assist client companies in interviewing management team candidates.
   
5. Investment Capital
   Access to start-up capital is fundamental to the success of any entrepreneurial business venture. Without this key component, a business idea cannot develop to become a reality. Nidus Center identifies and provides access to qualified angel investors, venture capital and joint venture partners through its expansive national and international network.
   
6. Advisory Board Mentoring
   The Advisory Board Program provides each of its client companies with the expertise and ongoing advice it needs to maintain an effective and successful strategy. Advisory boards and mentors meet monthly using a formalized continuous improvement process with clients to develop action plans.
   
7. SBIR Proposal Training
   Nidus Center provides client companies with formal training and assistance in obtaining federal SBIR grants. By using mentors who have been successful in obtaining grants in the past, clients will demonstrate a significantly higher success rate.
   
8. Direct Consulting Services
   As clients carry out activities within their action plans as specified in their Business Guide, the Nidus Center staff is available to assist with day-to-day business operations such as negotiations, finance and accounting.

   Through partnerships with the region’s universities, Nidus Center provides a core group of graduate level students to serve as interns to conduct research and provide daily support as a staff extension for each client.

On-Site Support

In addition to providing clients with business development services, Nidus Center also provides support in the daily activities requisite to building a successful new business.

1. Data Networking Technology
   Nidus Center offers the latest in data networking technology. The speed and flexibility of this network allows clients the ability to share information with internal and external partners in a highly dynamic fashion.
   
2. Off-Site Equipment and Product Testing
   As each client develops products ready for production review and further development, Nidus Center can provide access to appropriate testing facilities to fine-tune and further develop their product.
   
3. Hazardous/Biohazard Waste Removal
   As Nidus Center supports the development of plant and life science businesses and their related products, clients are provided with the safe removal of hazardous and biohazard waste as part of its service package.
   
4. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Radioactive Materials License
   Through one of Nidus Center’s partners, Monsanto Company, Nidus Center allows clients the right to use certain radioactive materials in the development of products or in research activity under license from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
   
5. On-Site Scientific Photographic Film Development Facilities
   Nidus Center provides clients with the capability for on-site development of scientific photographic film. With the processing equipment located within Nidus Center, there is the ablity to provide quick turnaround on image development for use in product testing and analysis. The on-site location also keeps proprietary product images confidential.
   
6. On-Site Growth Chamber
   Clients have access to a state-of-the-art growth chamber to develop and test their products in an on-site facility.
   
7. On-Site Daycare and Fitness Facilities
   While Nidus Center is committed to developing new businesses, the executive staff understands the importance of a healthy family life and healthy lifestyle. To support both, clients have access to on-site daycare and fitness facilities.
   
8. Security
   Nidus Center has a state of the art security system. Access to the facility is restricted to authorized members of the Nidus family. Visitors are screened and allowed access using a strict protocol for admissions.
