We’re located in St. Louis, Missouri, home
to many world-class biotechnology research
and commercial institutions such as Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, Washington University,
Monsanto Company, and Pfizer Research Facility. Since 2000, more
than $930 million in venture capital investments have been made
in St. Louis-based companies, several of which started at Nidus
Center.
Nidus prides itself in bringing high
value-added services and resources to our clients. Our
services
include assistance with business planning, developing
advisory boards, advice in contract negotiation,
and connections
to service providers that understand entrepreneurs’ needs.
Equally important is the
Nidus network of capital sources. We help our
clients make connections with angel investors as well as
local, regional,
and national venture capital groups – and prepare for the pitch.
Nidus clients have big ideas, bold technology,
and bright people. We work hard to help our clients
make their businesses successful. And all of our clients benefit
from our collaborative environment.
The Center is home to experienced CEO’s, world-class experts
in plant sciences and pharmaceutical development, people with
knowledge of the SBIR process, and many others that are willing
to share their learnings.
The Nidus Board of Directors and many of the great institutions
in the area have committed significant time and resources in making
St. Louis a center of excellence for plant
and life sciences. Nidus plays a critical role by helping
entrepreneurs leverage these resources to create sustainable life
science businesses. We hope this introduction has answered some
of your questions about Nidus Center, and look forward to hearing
from you.
